about

The candombe rhythm traveled with black slaves from Africa to the shores of Montevideo (Uruguay) over 200 years ago, and continues to boil in the streets of Uruguay’s capitol city. One artist in particular, with deep ties to the candombe movement is Hugo Fattoruso.
